Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead assigned technical staff during shifts, reporting absences, tardiness, and disciplinary issues
  • Train camera operators and monitor shift operations as needed
  • Execute real-time image control adjustments during live broadcasts, rehearsals, recordings, and special events.
  • Dynamically control iris, gain, white and black balance, and color levels based on prevailing lighting conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical director and producer to maintain the intended visual aesthetics of the content.
  • Assist with pre-broadcast setup, including camera alignment, signal testing, and intercom configuration.
  • Monitoring program and preview outputs to ensure visual consistency across multiple video sources.
  • Troubleshoot and report any faults in cameras, CCUs, image control panels, or engineering monitors.
  • Possess the capability and expertise to direct program segments in critical scenarios, as well as lead shorter segments like comedies, musical numbers, or interviews.
  • Uphold company policies with confidence and foster a professional, compliant work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in camera image control or technical supervision within a television production environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of studio cameras, camera control units (CCUs), and image control panels.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in fast-paced broadcast environments such as newscasts, live shows, or special productions.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with lighting, production, and engineering teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
